Hello folks.
A small pickup I received a few days ago. This came with a copy of 'Das Schwarze Korps', which is a little worse for wear. This portrait photo is fine, however.
It features what I believe to be an SS Rottenführer (Section Leader), going on the number of stripes on his left collar tab. The photograph is sharp enough to make out the details of his awards, right down to the paint loss on his wound badge. His ribbon bar features the E.K.II. and Ostfront medal. It is possible to make out the edge of his sleeve eagle and rank stripes.
Another one for the display cabinet. Portrait photographs really help to put a display into context, in my humble opinion.
Regards, B.B.
