That looks a pretty close match to me , But i did hear that this Officer was executed , but alas i don't know how much truth is in it . This is a very interesting fact and would love to find out the final outcome.

I think it is the same man. I have this picture in my WWII photo folder on my computer:
The information I got with the picture is: "POW SS-Untersturmfuhrer Kurt Peters, III.Battalion SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt.37, 17.SS-Pz.Gren.Div. Gotz von Berlichingen, in the area of Notre Dame de Cenilly, 18 km SW of Saint Lo, France.
