I have no idea what year this is from, but judging from the WW 1 helmet I would guess early 30's. Any ideas? I've never seen a Hakenkreuz like that on a helmet, either. Is that unusual? I have posted a couple more SA just for your enjoyment. Thanks

Has ANYBODY seen this type of Hakenkreuz before? It is "3D" - raised.
New to me, could it possibly be a prototype for the decal? Looks like the picture was taken to highlight it. Love to have one tho John
It is unusual and thanks for showing it. Early 1930's is my best guess too.
Your SA mann certainly rose through the ranks.
Cheers, Ade.
Ade - I don't think the two smaller fotos were of the same mann as the larger foto. I just showed them because I liked them. I have seen a LOT of helmets in my over 50 years of collecting, but I have never seen a 3D emblem like this. Has anybody else?
Hi there,
I was just wondering about the context of the "helmet" photo.
Was the photograph just of this SA man, or was it part of a larger group photo? I find it a very interesting photo, but at present can shed no light upon it
If it was part of a larger photo, would it be possible to see it all, and is that as close as you can get to the hakenkreuz without losing detail?
However, thank you very much for showing this wonderful photograph
Regards,
Spence
I liked it as well. Very intresting to see.Never saw one previously; but then again many things showing up here, are new to me!
