Who is this SS Mann?

I'd like to know the name of the SS Mann that I use as my avatar! I've been searching for years with no luck. I believe him to be a member of the 1st SS Panzer Division, that the original picture was taken during Wacht am Rhein and that he survived the war! Any help would be MOST appreciated! Thanks! I have always wondered that myself, and if he survived the Bulge. Hopefully someone will know. Jim G.

The photo was taken at on 18th December 1944 near Poteau; the soldier has not been identified. (An earlier, often-cited identification as Walter Armbrusch was incorrect.)
