the second stick is not para related
thank you
tony
It seems that with the second Stock some of the carving has been done very recently as the lighter parts are very light and bright and show no age or wear which would normally be seen on a piece of wood that was carved 65-70 years ago , that said it could just be the photos you will be able to tell better in hand !! These items have been pretty much left alone in the past by the fakers but the source of them is a help in any assessment , what is the source of them ?

Paul

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Both sticks look to have been pimped IMHO, the first one looks old with a mixture of old and new carving, whilst the second looks to have all new carvings, though as Paul posted, it could be the lighting of the pics.

Jerry
Whatever its just an opinion.
I agree Jerry unless it's the light, the first one has had some additions done to it especially the dates , Avanti and some of the Fallschirmjager carving !!

It was inevitable....when the values of these Wolchow's began to climb, sure as peas are green, out come the fakers...
