Description: Nice original set of large WWII German army 7x50 Artillerie binoculars, with the reticled grid in the lenses. This set is wartime Dientsglas ( meaning armored or shatter-proof) manufacurer-coded " BLC " for Carl Zeiss, MilitarenWerke, Jena, DeutschesReich A.g.
This would indicate manufacture production date of July-Aug 1941. Additionally, they are " " marked, which meant that they are cold weatherproofed to -40o, and that Invarol grease was used inside the binos.
These wartime German military binoculars still retain about 90% of their original black finish, with NO flaking, rust or corrosion to the aluminium body. Additionally, the optics are nice and clear, not cloudy, with no dents to the outer bezels or the body. There is also a reticled grid when one looks through the binoculars, on bottom of the right lense optic.
Their original bakelit eyepieces are matching and in very good condition, with NO chips or cracks to the composite material. Original neckstrap.
The case is a standard wartime leather case inblack, with a single wide leather straps in rear still affixed, not missing. It is WaA marked and eagle marked, as well as war-dated 1944.
Overall, a very nice original HeersArtillerie field set, for the advanced collector. Sold with no reserve. Overseas shipping is no problem.
