Rene! Very Cool! I love BEAST. Now that is some cool patina and the way they probably should look. That thing rocks!!! I love those Tires. The Olive Drab color you have is my favorite and then desert tan. I was in Desert Storm so I was going to do that camo but settled on Candy Apple Red.

Here she is - sorry for the crappy photos.

The first pic is from 1999, second is 2001 - it was still
driveable at this point - and the last was from 2003.
( This was actually my wife's jeep, but she needed
cash to buy a new 'daily driver' and was going to
sell it off - I put so much time and effort into
it, that I had to buy it from her ! )

I now have seat cushions and a top installed,
and military rims and tires ready
    to mount.........

Love it Steve! Thanks for taking time to post pictures. It is always great to see the transformation. Glad you hung onto it. I like the M38 Windshield you put on like mine. I thought about the split CJ2A original windshield but it looks nice on yours as well. Love the olive drab color as well. I loved the part about you needing to buy it from your bride. It is my hope she gave you a "good-buy" & not a "goodbye". My wife and I have been married 25 years this year. We married young at 20 but I have to say she has been a trooper with the Jeep and my Militaria addiction. Have a good weekend my brutha! Be well.

Are you kidding - Lol, she charged me double !

We started late and she already had two boys
from another marriage. We've been together
    for 18 years.........

Good for you guys on the 18 years. Congrats! The thing about those old jeeps is they hold their value and last forever. Double charged...WOW! Sounds like she is a tough negotiator.

I had original "Hand outs" for the 1945 Civilian Jeep, showed all the different farming devices you could buy to replace your Tractor with the jeep

Most people don't know that part of the story.

I know a guy rebuilding a 1947 Jeep, I should talk to him to see how it is coming along.

Think I will stick with my 97 TJ
