I hope you can help me with something regarding the red ink stamps on the license plates of German vehicles. I've noticed that some have the red ink stamps while others do not. Is there any hard and fast rule as to why this is? For example, did they stop applying the ink stamps later in the war?
The reason I ask is that I'm painting some models of late-war halftracks at the moment and want to ensure I use correct decals for the plates.
