    Default King Tiger starting handle

    Hi guys,

Picked this up at War and Peace, it's certainly an unusual piece from such an iconic tank. The piece weighs just over 5kg and the handle end (to the right of the first picture) still rotates freely, the second picture shows the end that fits the engine. Being stored on the outside of the tank I can't imagine many survived.

Might have to pop down to Bovington and give it a go..... :-)

That's one hell of a starting handle from one hell of a vehicle! That must be over 4 feet long...and it seems to have retained a lot of it's original colouring

I went through some pics of KTs in museums....this pics from Saumur and it kinda shows this piece...tho I'm sure there's better pics (to which I don't own the copyright!)

Presumably the handle piece revolves freely when cranking?

all you need now is the other slightly bigger piece!
