Part of the tank or other vehicle? German or Russian
Article about: Hello, I dug today in a Berlin forest in a ditch, on a tree. At 20 cm depth, this rusty piece came out. What's this? Military? Definitely a part of a tank? The hole has a diameter of 8.5cm.

Might be from a tank, given the colour more likely from the interior, but for the life of me I cannot recognise it.

Interesting find. I hope someone can identify it.

To me it looks like a headlight surround.

Greetings,
Similar to Anderson's theory, I believe it is a protective surround, but in this case for a military vehicle radio antenna aerial's base. The early ones possess insulators at their bases made of glass and this cover protects that area and too, the joint where the antenna sticks out from the side of the vehicle. Not sure which country yours is from, but the US still uses similar surrounds/guards on their vehicles today. Do a Google search on "Military antenna base covers/surrounds" and you will see very similarly shaped angled guards.
