Hi
Sorry , it's a fake![]()
Cheers

Just for the record,
The same seller is offering another allegedly "original"1940 SSh39 (pics below).
The also used the same pics to show the linner and the stamp.
Can you reveal what were the clues (red flags) that confirm it as a fake, DOM?
(The sweatband material???, the 1940's stamp???, the red star????, the rivets???)
I would like to know more about it.
Regards
i too wonder why its a fake , if its the shell then it might be a post war soviet state vz53 and maybe reproduction liner i dont know i wait to here more from dom on the reasons
Please , ask the question to seller, I'm curious to know his answer ??
It seems that a buyer is not really satisfied with the purchase !!

ah seeing this ebay listing it all makes sense dom and from the Czech republic of all places i cant believe the price it went for funny how none of these helmets he is listing have chin straps that would give the game away i guess ,also how lucky is this seller to have the amount of helmets he has to sell quite remarkable i imagine the red star stencil on the front has been added quite recently and also i dont think it would be to hard to punch a small star in either ,i imagine to the untrained eye it would catch a lot of people out
I will concur with Dom. This is a fake helmet for sure. It's not good to give all pointers to why this is a fake on a public forum. Just my opinion. Many things are wrong on this helmet. Trust me on this one
