If you have any questions or do not understand something, I will be glad to explain to you. I am able to write in French if need be.

I like the looks of the cap itself also. From the single image that you have shown that is. If you would, please show some more images of the inside and some close-ups of the wings insignia.
In regards to the wreath/cockarde insignia: The wreath seems to me to be replaced with a 50s/60s era (general's?) type. Note how it's (unfaded) backround colour contrasts with the band. It is NOT the original wreath IMO. In addition, the star (alone) affixed to it is a 1950s variation.
I can show the proper wartime and postwar cockardes in a later post if you wish further comment...

thanks for your interet Richard, j espere that Dimas will look has this post new so him will be able to re-lay has your interogations, the cap comes from his home and announced as ww2. My English is that d a desolate translator.
Marc
Marc,
As I have written, it seems to be a nice & original cap (I am searching for one of these BTW) but I would simply try to find the correct cockarde...
A wreath in any case is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find.
I have a model 1948 version of this cap, and I was forced to use a later
(50s/60s General's embroidered) wreath to complete it.
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!
I have one wreath Richie, nbut still will keep it
