For one thing they didn't have felt tipped markers in 1941.

Jan, I believe I will attempt to be the minority opinion here and lean toward original early ssh39. I would refer you to a post from several years ago,

The helmet in your pictures looks just like Beorn's on page one of this post.

I would love to see some more pictures, though.

I also think it's a good leather type, just pointed out that LMZ has jointly developed several types of liners .
