Default Early cap badge, but how early?

I recently picked this up in Wyoming of all places and it is much nicer than any of the post 1950's cap badges I have seen. So I believe it to be pre WWII but am I correct? It measures 1 and 3/16th inches across the arms of the star and the enameling is quite nice!

Cheers and Many Thanks for the help!

Hi Gary, you are totally correct. It is pre war and is the 1936 pattern. Nice to find.

    Cheers, Ade.
