M 40 Soviet visor cap and cockade. Please ID

Article about: I just won this on ebay and was wondering about the cockade (I've never saw one like this before) and the year of this hat. I bought it for Soviet Reenacting so I was not concerned about it

The sweat diamond is accessory of most of the German period made caps, not even Lubstein etc. But most seen early examples was marked and unmarked sweat diamonds by Lubstein. I owned one early navy cap made in 1945 by Lubstein, all the sweatband, liner and visor was a wartime German made. I think there was a lot of parts in the Lubstein factory stocks, and they produce caps with the rest of material after the end of war.

    Hello Richie & Dima!
The cap arrived so here's a close up of the pin attached. It reads on the back:
    CHIANI & BARL
    -FIREN-E

Ginamann, based on your seeing 'CHIANI & BARL-FIREN-E', I read that to be an Italian pin from Florence, Italy by the company of CHIANI & BARL. The name Chiani is an Italian surname and Barl might be an abbreviation but it also could be a Slavic name in northeast Italy. I will look into these names and try to pass more information to you. It is an interesting pin but it appears not to be military issue.
