Unfortunately the seller didn't have photos of the side buttons. Are they supposed to be olive-painted general's buttons with the USSR State Emblem?

Perhaps you will find some of my thoughts useful. Indeed the buttons in this type of headgear should be of the standard general pattern but olive-painted. As for the cap itself, I would ask for more better quality pictures, however to me there is something sketchy in this item. The inside lining is very loose - normally soviet caps have rather tight inner linings. Also, general visor caps usually have the producers label in shape of a "teardrop" or a "horsehoe". Here, the materials used seem much different and "fakeish".
