These absolutely stump me...
During the many years I have spent searching for authentic wartime soldier's pilotka, I have only seen and touched less than a few that I only assumed were 100% legit. I only own one of them, and am still not quite content with it...
As far as my opinion goes, the star is original...
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!
i have no idea about the cap , but the badge is very good (early badge)
Thanks for that RichieC & Pierre, im the same !! i normally like to see them a little salty but you can be stumped by these !! maybe Dimas might be able to help ??
I can do a close translation for this (circled) stamp for now:
PROVINCIAL INDUSTRIAL UNION
ARTEL (ASSOCIATION FOR COMMON WORK) OF THIRTEENTH ANNIVERSARY OF OCTOBER REVOLUTION - KHARKOV, STREET ? (can not read further)...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The other stamp: I have no translation for "BRAK-ERR"... № 3 may be a quality control number. The incomplete date and the № 23 are also a mystery...
The № 52 to the right I assume is the size - damn small head to fit if it is such...
The upside-down № 40 above is a total shrug.
Dim, the floor is your's on this one...
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!
If it's a fake, then it's will be absolutely new generation of the fakes. Good materials and nice stampings, small size... IMO a good one in nice condition

Hello Guys, Thank you Dimas.....is it justified to say the Badge/star is period for a cap dated 193?.....in other words would you see this type of star badge on a 30's made cap ?? thanks guys, take care,Paul.
The star is Ok, but not for a pilotka, but they was used on the pilotkas too, nothing wrong as this was oftenly worn
