    Gents,

Could I have your opinions please on the originality and period of manufacture of this cap. Observations I would make from my limited knowledge are that the star, visor and chinstrap appear original however I am not sure of the overall quality of manufacture.

    Many thanks in advance

    Robin

Hi Robin, I am certain it is a modern repro.

The cap badge is original but post war.

    Cheers, Ade.

That is the only authentic part of it...

These come up for sale from time to time, so hang tight.

Have to say I was leaning towards that view. Many thanks for taking the time to answer.

Hi Robin, it still has a value. Our group buys Furashka's like this for £25 to £30 each. A badge would be another tenner. So all is not lost.

    Cheers, Ade.

Fortunatly I havn't bought it. I saw it up for sale and as I would like one or two to display along with my other soviet items I thought that before I bought it I would follow my own advice and post it here first so others more knowlegable about soviet headgear could advise me.
As usual WRF came up trumps.
