Original Snow camo on steel helmet??

Hi guys

I recently bought this Russian WW2 Helmet and was wondering if you guys think the white paint is original.

I cannot seem to find any other colour on it and the coating seems quite thick almost like "filler", hopefully the pictures will give you enough info,

I bought it as a relic obviously and its just going to be a shelf piece

hello there ,i think your right on the texture ,somebody has done a very poor job of skimming over the exterior with a filler of some sort out of interest what does the inside look like and can you show the whole of the shell exterior ,cheers james

Looks like somebody has tried to "restore" a relic shell maybe!...
