I am intrigued by this cocard (the first, on the left). The salesman is categorical. He obtained it from a war veteran. It is smaller than M36 cocard and the color leaves me perplexed. It is less red than pre war cocard, and also less convex, more flat.

Can anyone give me his opinion about this cocard? what period?

    thank you

Indeed betrter pictures needed, looks like a NAVY m 47 to me, but there also exists a similar pre-war examples. The enamel color can vary

    Agreed, and most likely.

Also, an exact measurement in MM would help...

    Richie, Dimas,
Thank you for your opinions, always very instructive. Here is some more precise photos, I hope that they will be useful. The dimension of the star is 27 millimeters. tHANK YOU

I think it's a early pilotka star, it is similar to the navy m 47, and the carrot color of enamel is widely seen on the early examples

When you say "early" you mean "early war time"? pre war? Is this star used on navy pilotka or landing troops?

I mean mid 30's. It is not a navy star. The navy pilotkas in war time period was allowed to use for the submariners only
