Default Post war Soviet Ssh 40

I have had this helmet in my collection for a number of years and just recently unpacked it from storage with a few other helmets so I thought I would share a few pics .
This Ssh-40 looks to be in unissued condition and is near mint if I am reading the ink stamps correct it was was manufactured in 1960 and was produced at the Tractor Factory plant I do know they were produced in three sizes and this particular example bares the numeral 1 is it safe to assume this is the sizing stamp ?
The chinstrap would appear to be the later variation as found on later production models as they are horizontally sewn at the chinstrap lugs thanks for looking.

    Regards Mark

Nice lid and the sewn on chin strap indicates post 1953!...
It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

Last year of production, we often find these helmets in mint condition , unissued . Sometimes with the wrapping paper

The size ( 1/2 or 3 ) is specified in the stamp .

Thanks Dom is it safe to assume the P-1 stamp is the sizing stamp ?

Thank you Dom I was not positive if it was the single numeral 1 printed by it self or the P-1 that indicated the helmet size .
