    hi dom thanks for the info so what your saying is that my batch number 1-45-01 stamped on the inside of the shell means it wasnt manufactured in 1945? can you explain what my batch number means as i havent got a clue i just presumed that was the year .the ink stamp does show it as post war thats for sure cheers james

    this is the first time I've seen, spider marking LMZ dated 47 without prefix.

    Might be that the "P" really marks reworked WWII helmets...

    no idea, but this stamp is worth, I always thought that there are years 48 / 49 / 50
