Russian helmet needs identifying!

Article about: So the title is pretty self explanatory, I need help identifying this soviet helmet.I suspect it to be an SSh helmet but I'm not entirely sure.Heres some pictures: Thanks for any help

    It's a Czech, not Russian.

    As stated, it's a Chech vz53 helmet, late issue as identified by the chin strap. Soviet helmets do not use the German style liners, most variations have 3 or 4 pads, depending on the model #.

    From the exterior the looks of the Czech vz53 and the Soviet Ssh39 are all but identical...it's the interior that tells the story!

    just to clarify further this is the model 53/80 its essentially the vz53 shell but with a 4 point nylon chinstrap offering greater stability i i cant tell from the pics but it should have a small leather chinstrap ,cheers james
