    So far I have not been able to find what this hat is. I would think that it would be Navy because of the the anchor on the inside of the cap. Maybe it is a naval engineer?

    Hopefully someone will have the answer.

    It seems to be a Merchant or River Fleet cap with an Army officer's cockarde.

    Yes, I agree with Richie, this is not a military visor, and has a wrong cockade and chincord
