It is better to make lots of things that Work satisfactory and are easy to make rather than a few things that work very well.

Briging this old thread back up as new info has come to light on this previously unknown (to us) jacket and jump smock.
They are actually Yugoslav film props! Made for a film in 1963 called "Desant na Drvar" about the German attempt to capture Tito.

..Anyone have any Russian camo painted helmets...or more pics if camo being used on helmets. Was it a common practice to paint helmets camo colors other than white..?

As a rule you will not find Camouflage painted Red Army Steel Helmets, they didn't seem to do it like the other Allies or the Fash.
The Red Army used Mud to assist their Personal Camouflage, some rare use of a locally made Nets and some minimal evidence of Naval Infantry using Cloth Covers, but to be to a Norm.. keep them Green as from the Factory.
