Default Soviet Red Army....Ssh39 Helmet !!

Hello Guys , new addition to my collection a.....Ssh39 Soviet-Russian with original paint ,helmet 41 dated stampings/production numbers and also Red Army *star* stamp to front underside of helmet lip ,something i had never seen before but read this somewhere in book or internet site ,not sure ??, maybe someone has more info on this ?? Also helmet is reasonably clean for age so i doubt it saw any action on battlefield ,im guessing it would be hard to find one in this condition. Thanks guys, take care,Stalingrad.

A very nice late type of SSch-39, last of them was made in 1941 year, after the Finnish campaign no more produced with front red stars. The star on the helmet is something like a quality approved marking

Congratulations Stalingrad (BTW, do you have a first name that we can address you by? ), that is a superb looking helmet!

A good helmet does not need to have a frontal star to be a great one IMO...

Thank you Bernhard !!, i appreciate your comments on this helmet and my other star decal helmet , they signafiey WWII Soviet Army relics/antique headgear as the crem dala crem pieces of WWII Historical soviet headgear, for me personally due to the fact it was the soviets who libareted my Grandfather from his POW (Stalag 1a) Camp in early 45", gave me the opportunity in life ,to grow and understand his love and pain thru this period of world war 2 !! Thank you again for all comments !!!
