Default Soviet SSH-40 helmet from 1948 with WW2 parts

    Hello
I bought a week ago this wonderful SSH-40 helmet with complete Liner and chinstrap
It was overpainted in 1948 with say the stamp with a new green colour but it have a original WW2 linerpart(with the triangles) and a WW2 strap I think(all this information I found on the soviet helmets website)
The net is from the 1950s
What do you say to this helmet?
Is it a postwar lid or a good refurbished wartime example?
I need your experts knowledge to this helmet

    Best regards
    Bavarian

Ink stamp that looks like a spider (example below) is always post-war, I think I see a corner of one of those stamps in one of your pictures, therefore this helmet is post-war. Soviet SSH-40 helmet from 1948 with WW2 parts. I'm sure a lot of these shells were used in WWII and refurbished afterwards, but as far as I know there's no way to differentiate the refurbished wartime shells vs the ones manufactured in '48.

    Hello
    Thanks for the comment
That knows noone ,but it seems to be overpainted on many parts of the shell(thicker colour)
    And the WW2 parts?
That is a little be strange to me

That chinstrap configuration is usually not correct for a wartime ssh40. It's mostly on ssh39s and post-war ssh40s. There are exceptions, but this is not one of them, that chinstrap is post-war.

The net looks very similar to the east German items.

    Hello
Yes the helmet net looks east german ,because it was used in the DDR on a russian Outpost
The NVA was delivered with russian stuff or not?
I am not an expert on DDR items
    Best regards
