    I did not know exact story of this helmet, but this one surely saw Winterwar 39-40, was picked up from Finnland from the words of the seller - from veterans family, but that is not such important.
    Here you can see the first factory paint in light sand color, for color comparition inside liner ring with khaki painted rivet. The liner itself is a khaki color and made of oilcloth. The stampings isn't a frequently encountered, and I did not know why the same time they use different shaped markings, the same seen 1939 dated. The helmet was firstly khaki repainted and then in white

    So far I have seen this type of stamp only for the 1940 year .

    I've seen this kind of stampings on the helmets with just this type of liner

    Yes although this type of liner appeared in 1939. I do not know if we have the answer one day ?

    Lovely winter camo and especially from the Finnish front !!
