Very nice helmets. I have been looking for some time for a decent ww2 example. Unfortunatly without much success.

The kid has me on the hunt for an Ssh40. He does not care if post war but I'd kind of like to find a period helmet. Post war seem cheep and easy enough to come by but what about a period helmet, and what kind of price range should I expect to pay for a average condition (complete) helmet and liner with date stamp. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Soviet-Helmets.com

    World War Helmets

Some information here. The second site is in French.

Very nice helmet collection! Here's mine.

All common post war, nothing you don't have though I do have a SSh-40M. Post war SSh-40 with retrofitted East German style chinstraps.

Here in good used condition, very stiff leather.

This is a GDR M56 for comparison. From a friend's collection.

    Again, very nice collection!
