Default Ssh 36 Winter Whitewash Camo

I collect primarily TR and US helmets, but have an assortment of others, including a few WWII vintage Soviet helmets as well. I don't know very much at all about them, but like the contour of the Ssh 36 style. I picked this one up a few years ago. I have no concerns about the camo, but invite discussion on the liner. I was advised on another forum that the liner is more typical of post war refurbished helmets, but could be War time done as well. He also stated that the extra 3 rivets indicated to him that this was probably a piece refurbished and reissued during the Leningrad siege, as he stated that this was common in that area. Since the 4 remaining rivets have whitewash on them and do not appear to have been disturbed, I think the liner very well may be period, but look to the experts for their opinions. I loaded quite a few pictures. If more, different or better shots are needed, please let me know. Thanks in advance, Jim G.

It's plausible that this is a blockade helmet. During the Winter War the rivets were removed, so that the soldiers could wear something warm under the helmet. During the Siege of Leningrad these helmets were again refurbished and thus resulting in new riveting system. Although this helmet seems to have entirely new rivets attached, where as some have new riveting pins but use the same holes. This is what I've heard.
