Article about: this one has what looks like a field-made liner made from wrapped bandage tape. perhaps the original liner was pulled out to accommodate an ushanka or balaclava during the cold winter months

    this one has what looks like a field-made liner made from wrapped bandage tape. perhaps the original liner was pulled out to accommodate an ushanka or balaclava during the cold winter months and later the soldier needed to wear it during the warmer months, without the warm headgear. just a speculation on my part. it also appears to have some name scratched under the front visor. i can just make out a few letters (К and Л perhaps) but not enough to identify a name...
