There are always different opinions with red stars, it would be good to hear technical details to analyze the red star.

For now, for exaple, it is saying that a German decal is false because there are false decal for sale in Ebay. We need more details to judge right or wrong this star.

It's a nice lid but it does look like the star was painted over existing wear/scratches!....
