SSh40 48 Dated LMZ Helmets

Bought 5 of these the other week, 2 have arrived this morning, thought I would show you a few pictures. One of them as an over painted Red Star, would it be Ukrainian Army ? I have a nice green liner and CS one on the way.

I will not be keeping all these so if you after one let me know

The soviets supplied a lot of helmets to the Albanians, they usually painted red stars on the lids so i suppose it could be one of them.

Nice helmet, 1948 was the first year, of the new production of Ssh. The production stoped in 1945, and restart for the Red army and satellite army.

i was led to believe 48 dated examples can be of ww2 period origin in some cases

Hi James, yes it does, some of the others do also, maybe not so clear in the pictures, I have another with the green liner
