Ivan, it's normal chinstrap for mid to late war for soviet helmets, I think soviets save money on that

Hello Soljenitsyne, very nice and also clean Ssh40 Helmet especialy the chinstrap !! extremly white in colour which i have never seen before !! chinstrap just seems a little to clean for age of helmet not sure if its camera shot (Pic) or lighting, but i would expect a little yellowish toning to occur in the past 65 years ??

Here is another brother, dated 1945, absolutely the same type, the same batch 431 , Mark has the end of 1944 made helmet, my example has been made the same time, but came throgh the hand of the quality control in the beginning of 1945 year

I have not came across to many late war lids Dimas, ok ! good to see another example !! so all late war helmets have this type of chinstarp colouring is that correct ?? or just by a particular manufacturer ??

90% of helmet was made by LMZ (Lysvinskiy Metallurgicheskiy Zavod), and 70% of the helmets I saw was with that kind of chinstrap

J had 3 helmets Mod 40 in my collection, those this had all this white chin strap.
