This helmet is from Ukraine. It's dated 48 with rivets fixed chinstrap. It seems in unissued condition. Its paint and liner both look original but not sure. Any help will be appreciated thanks.

All looks OK to me, the paint on the outer shell looks a little glossy but that might be flash, there must be quite a few of these still in storage!..
It is fine.

As I know, The Ssh40 helmets by LMZ which have "1948r" dated were the last helmets made from parts of word war II. However this one seems haven't been repainted or refurbished since its condition is "too" mint. Does that mean it was 1948 new made but not rebuild from wwii shell? Please advise thanks.
Every chance it could be a wartime shell, they removed the old liners and stripped off the old paint then resprayed and restamped them!...
