Ushanka - Opinions please

Hello everyone,

in the hope of broadening my Soviet headgear collection beyond steel helmets i'd like to share and hear some more opinions on this well used ushanka.
It seems to be of WW2 construction and materials as far as i can tell from my references but more expierenced views would be much appreciated.

Looks good to me Oliver. I'm sure the others would agree. The star is wartime also.

Thanks for sharing your opinions Richie and Dom, is it perhaps possible to say wether it is an early or rather later type from these pictures (saw some in other threads being refered to as "early").

I have an example with similar materials dated 1940, construction is a bit different
