Ben.. Yes.. Of course.. But does that open a messy can of worms..?
I mean I can be impulsive and buy things.. ( I Have ) in the past that were not genuine articles..
And then also sometimes on various forums there is (Slight) ridicule of objects not recorded
or catagorized historically..and then in-bickering..Hahahha.. To sum it up... I recently saw a buckle with what
looked to be a buckle that was re-made with a V-2 rocket in place of an original emblem..??

Again, very hard to answer really, I suppose I know what I am looking at so knows original from fake/fantasy, what type of buckles do you collect? All buckles?, Heer SS? I can make some suggestions for you but for me its the case of if thats what you want? Example, this pick up of mine, when I saw it my eyes nearly popped out of my head, I have only ever seen two and this being one of them, experimental catch by Assmann. I was not sure about the catch but from the make up of the box ect I knew it was original. So let me know what you collect then maybe I can help! Of note I have had so many emails about this buckle its unreal, one guy from the US has offered me $3500!!! crazy! To me its not worth that!

Well Ben, That certainly is my dilemma I guess... I am leaning on collecting RaD.. S.A. items..
In the past I collected everything and anything related to the "Third Reich"... As a collector only...
Let's not portray myself as anything rather than a mere collector and I fancy myself as a bit of a history buff... When I saw the AD. Baumeister (Buckle and tab) for less than $100.00 I jumped on it...
I like it when a hunch pays off and is confirmed a hit as you did for me,,, I guess it's the thrill of the hunt...Hhahhaha...I will keep an eye out for a Schmidt for ya ...Good hunting....Mike
