Army Bakelite Buckle

Hello I thought I would bring up this old thread. My friend Garry picked up a bakelite Heer at a show Sunday. He text me some lousy cell phone photos but he is going to bring it to the SOS and i'll take some good photos.
Some good detailed pics would be great Kirby, is the one that has been circulating around or a new one entirely?
Ben
I think this is fresh one. The mint one came out of southern Colorado a few years ago . This one showed up at a show Sunday. My friend bought this sight unseen after a call from his picker. I would has bought it in a heartbeat if Garry didn't want it. Fat chance of that. I have had a great year adding to my collection but Garry has added a SA High Leaders and a Bakelite.
I know of a SA High leaders buckle for sale

Wow, bakelite was sure not one of the materials I thought of when I made my signature
I'm happy that I always learn something new here
My buddy Garry brought his Bakelite Heer to the SOS. Here's some photos. I'll start posting some of the buckles I acquired in a few days.
Thanks for the pics Kirby and very interesting IMO, for me looking at this buckle, look at the crest on the rear of the eagles head, the shape of the lettering and the prongs I would not be surprised if this was an Overhoff made buckle!
