Belt and Buckle--what do you think??

I bought this last night at an estate auction. Looks good to me, but then again, I don't know alot about belts/buckles. The price seemed right, so I went for it. There were other WWII items there as well. I cannot see any makers marks on the belt or the buckle.

thanks again! Would this have been a dress belt for any rank, or just EM. I guess alot of these weren't maker marked? That is the one thing that bothered me was that I could not find a mark on the belt or the buckle.

All I saw are unmarked....

Mine is also unmarked and others i have seen are also unmarked. Alot of leather I have seen are marked but not all. Looks good

Also, how much would a combo like this cost if say you bought it at a show or from a dealer? I paid $55 for the set at the auction..

maybe between $120 and $150. most of these polite Englishmen think it bad form to talk prices. The best thing to do is check the legitimate sellers and compare.
