Dr. Franke & Co. Steel buckle with tab.

This is a fairly recent arrival. Not super rare nor in minty condition but IMO a nice representative "been there" example with significant use and nice character. Manufactured by Dr. Franke & Co. in Ludenscheid. The buckle is maker marked and dated 1940 and the tab is nicely marked and dated 1941. I'm no buckle expert, but I believe 1940 was the first year this company manufactured steel buckles.

Very nice "been there" buckle. I much prefer them like this - *minty* ones tend not to tell a story - these do. Well done

A nice addition to your collection. I like the mint ones in a display case but I like one like this match up with a similar condition belt. They look good displayed with a helmet.
