I've seen 'soft detail' but the back of that one takes the biscuit!

Correct me if I'm wrong here but this is a cast fake right? Pretty well-made for a reproduction with that FLL eagle.
I have not seen this type of repro before..

A cast fake I found when going through old threads. A pretty "good" fake but take a look at the flaws and prongs etc
So watch out my fellow beginners, it's a hard world out there!

What is the big give-away here that this is a fake buckle? I think the prongs are too sharp perhaps? Everything else looks okay to my new, beginner, untrained eyes. There is a buckle close to me at an antique shop that I am thinking of buying that looks like this early war, pebbled buckle. It's not marked from what I remember but with all my new found knowledge thanks to this site, I need to go back and look at it again. Seeing this buckle has me concerned about it being genuine!

Guys, please do post buckles into this sub forum until you are 1000% they are fake, please don't guess, this is a reference section for genuine proven fakes, for example I need to have a good look at the FFL buckle, I have not seen these faked yet. Please post them in the general forum first for discussion so we can appraise it.

    Many thanks
