Lots of fakes with this trademark. Check out the sticky thread on Heer fakes. I would pass on it.
The maker is S.h.u.co ( Sohni Heubach & Co., Oberstein )
The "patina" looks original but it does exist a very "close to original" fake out there with that maker mark.

Hmm 40 quid, it's an OK price for that but I think that you will get a much better buckle for maybe £80.
If the buckle is original the price is to high for the condition. Let's see what Ben thinks.

Yeah you are right, £40 = 46 euro. you can get one much better for at least 80-85 euro.
There is a 40 dated S.H.u.Co fake around but as stated this is a ground dug orignal witha hook made by Overhoff. I agree with the lads, in that condition a bit steep, you can find a better one even for that price, but again as I also say, if you like the buckle then get it
