Default gray paint on Heer buckle - early pebbled aluminum

    Hello all,

I am use to seeing an olive color paint on the early pebbled aluminum buckles and this example appears more of a matte-gray color. Any thoughts on this for me please? It looks very thick to me which is why I ask.

Strange the buckle has so much paint on the front and so little on the rear.
