Thanks, guys I'm delighted to have it in the slowly building collection! I always enjoy being able to take my own photos to really try to convey how I'm seeing a piece up close and in-person. Not to mention a lot of sellers take mediocre pictures that don't do the pieces justice. Yes, I would have had no clue about a maker if Ben hadn't informed us... I think it's probably the ears on the buckle? Anyways...I have A LOT to learn.

Adam, nice buckle and a nice find, as to maker recognition that will come with time and experience like anything, the more buckles you handle and pictures you see will enhance your buckle ID no end
