Default Heer Buckle - Unit Marked

Another interesting Heer combat buckle arrived yesterday, RS&S with a Panzer Regiment stamping. Can vaguely see maker mark stamp on the leather. Most likely part of 2nd Panzer Division best I can tell - surrendered to Americans. Dealer basically buys locally found items and this one just popped up in Michigan, then to me

Nice buckle Jeff with interesting unit markings, does the maker mark on the tab match the buckle?

Ben, best I can tell the maker mark does look like a very worn RS&S stamp.

Thanks Gwar...the research part is fun, for sure! The seller had done some research and explained what he had found as well.

    Nice one...

Did this maker change their maker mark, as I have a RS&S, molded wth a 39 dated tab that has the maker mark as...

    R.S.& S.

Here's a R.S.& S. that is unit marked. Would this be for Infantry or to a Jaeger unit?
