Article about: So I picked this up at an estate sale aswell, same one as the M38 Overseas cap. The buckle has a maker mark I am unsure of, with a tongue which reads 1937. Belt is marked 90 and has another

    If you get chance take some pics in natural light with the macro setting on, it might get you a bit closer to the mark and make it a wee bit clearer, the markings on the the rear of the tab seem to be units markings, on the other side of the tab there should be a oval stamp with the makers name in and year of manufacture of visible, have a read of this thread it may help and explain things for you

    Alright! Ill see what I can do tomorrow!
    But I know that there is a maker mark with 1937 stamped. I know a average amount on common buckles. But this is my first with a tab.
    So there are unit markings which are unreadable.
    The maker mark is mostly unreadable on the tab
    And ill try to get a Macro of the stamp!
