Heer Officers Brocade

Hello All,
this came in a small collection of British veterans memorabilia.
It's an unmarked quite heavily worn officers belt and buckle.
The rear of the buckle shows some heavy wear as does the front of the buckle.
I'm guessing it was worn post war to receive such heavy wear.
The mounting pieces appear to be made from plated brass so possibly being replaced at one time or another.

Thank you for the input Ben,
I'm not brilliant on buckles (or anything else really) as my collection is mostly what comes from Vets or their families so the items are quite diverse.
I have been looking quite closely at some officers buckles and although Assmann made quite a few of them I feel as though there must be a shelfful of unknown makers.
It has got to be a field of study for someone...at the moment I am quite busy at work to get down to it but I'll give it a go in the future.
