    That is actually an 'L,' and your buckle was made by the firm L. Gottlieb & Söhne.

    I'm glad to help when possible.

    In my opinion, this maker is somewhat uncommon for Heer buckles (I've seen a lot of RAD buckles made by them), but of it doesn't have a lot of value because it appears to be in ground dug or 'relic' condition.

    Buckle is made by Gottlieb, not a rare buckle by any means and that one is in quite rough condition, is it ground dug?

    Yes, this belt buckle was found in Latvia
