IKA 41 Julius Kremp

Just got this Julius Kremp in, was wondering about the little extra bit of steel on the hook bar? Anyone seen that before?

Also seems to be remains of blue/grey paint on rear, does this look like a wartime overpaint or maybe post war that's been cleaned off?

Hard to tell from the pics Lenny, the hook has been tacked over over zealously and ref the paint could be a overpaint at some point, the base colour on the rear looks to be of a green colour

Yeah, happy with the green, seems period, also happy with wear pattern. Just unsure about the blue/grey.
