This is kind of and interesting Schmolle and Co. buckle. It has a bright chrome silver finish on the front and a dull silver on the reverse. I have had this buckle 20-25 years. I use to think it was a post war refinish but I have come across 2-3 identical Schmolle buckles at the Max and SOS over the last ten years. Has anyone else come across one of these?

    Dear Kirby ,

i hold also such a chrom platet buckle in my first collection for about over 20 years .

It was a B&N 41 . Was also with dull finish inside .......

IMO it was original done in time .

Interesting buckle. I have seen a lot more Heer buckles with this finish than Luftwaffe. Maybe they were used by band member or standard bearers or for some other special group.

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.
